Comment by Heard County Middle School on January 19, 2012 at 10:58am We will promote eReader checkouts -- we have more than 120 students who have checked out Nooks from our media center so far this year -- and will provide small prizes for those who complete a contest quiz. We also give prizes for those who receive a winning bookmark during the week.

Good luck!
We will be working on building some layered posters using a photo manipulation program and we are also having a demonstration put on by our 4H Lego Robotics Team.
Comment by Peter Richter on February 21, 2012 at 1:17pm We will hightlight teen's using tech in our high school library media center by posting the various Web 2.0 projects students have completed this year on the the school's website, and particpating in the school wide BLOG : How do you learn with technology? Also, examples of how our teachers have utilized technology in the classroom will be collated into a video produced by the students. This is a continuation of the technology intiatives we have integrated into all aspects of the curriculum here at Westwood NJ HS Media Center
Students will receive emails explaining how to access our online research databases and inviting them to stop by the library. Students who come to the library and mention the email will receive a mini box of Nerds candy and will be offered assistance with accessing the databases.
Comment by Kathy Kaldenberg on February 25, 2012 at 3:36pm We will be hosting a "Please Touch Tech Museum" with gadgets and equipment our teens have probably not seen before, running a Pinterest board contest and offering jewelry tools and discarded tech parts to make earrings, pins and necklaces.
We will be reading the book Geek Girl by Cindy C. Bennett. We will be making recycled geek jewelery, running Glogster music/video collage contest, and incorporating STEM-related activity creating a t-shirt (using Publisher).
Students will be giving me recommendations for e-books, audio books and music that they want to see available in the library.
We're having a Technology Garden all week. We've chosen some interesting apps and websites to highlight, and using our iPads, laptops, and computers, we've created stations throughout the library that students and staff can visit to explore each one. By circulating through the stations and checking out the different items, we hope that we can get patrons excited about technology and what it has to offer.
Kings Highway Branch, We'll be viewing e-books and online gaming for teens
